Fall Fest Training Camp Is in Session

Evansville, you can feel it. Somewhere on Franklin Street, a fryer is warming up. The West Side Nut Club Fall Festival starts Monday, which makes this weekend the warm-up lap, and the warm-up lap is stacked. Downtown goes spooky with a costumed Wine Walk and First Friday, Ali Siddiq brings his legendary storytelling to the Victory, and Sunday turns Lincolnshire into a free porch-to-porch concert.

Plus: a sunrise Half Marathon, the Harvest Cup season finale at Tri-State Speedway, the last four nights of Wild Summer Lights at Mesker, Newburgh Fall Fest, Boonville Square Flair, a pile of craft fairs, and a 10-acre corn maze for anyone who wants to get lost on purpose. Your couch had a good run. Let's get into it.

FESTIVAL
Fall Fest Starts Monday. Stretch Now.
Mon, Oct 5 – Sat, Oct 10 · Franklin Street, West Side

The 105th West Side Nut Club Fall Festival takes over Franklin Street on Monday, and Evansville's entire personality turns deep-fried. More than 137 nonprofit food booths, carnival rides, free live entertainment, talent competitions, and a Saturday parade. Over 200,000 people show up, which is a polite way of saying wear real shoes and pick a meeting spot. Read our full Fall Fest guide →

🍕 Bonus Buzz: Build your hit list from the official Munchie Map before you go. Standing in the middle of Franklin Street with no plan and 137 booths is how group chats fall apart.

Spooky Wine Walk + First Friday
PARTY
Spooky Wine Walk + First Friday
Fri, Oct 2 · 5:30–8:30 PM · Main Street (400 & 500 blocks), then Haynie's Corner

Downtown is entering its spooky season era. Indiana wineries, mocktails, live music, tarot readings, fire performers, and a costume contest stretch down Main Street. Wine admission gets you a commemorative tumbler and two 4-ounce pours (wine is 21+, the fun is all ages). Then drift over to Haynie's Corner, where First Friday kicks off at 5:30.

🍕 Bonus Buzz: Wear the costume. You're getting judged either way, so you might as well be eligible for a prize.

Ali Siddiq: The Custom Fit Tour
COMEDY
Ali Siddiq: The Custom Fit Tour
Fri, Oct 2 · 7 PM (doors 6 PM) · Victory Theatre, 600 Main St.

If you've ever lost a whole night to an Ali Siddiq story on YouTube, you already know. He's the guy behind The Domino Effect (51 million+ views), a 2026 NAACP Image Award, and three 2026 Webbys. He doesn't tell jokes so much as build epic stories where every tiny detail comes back to wreck you. Main Street is about to be loud.

🍕 Bonus Buzz: The Victory sits on the same stretch of Main as the Wine Walk. Grab an early pour at 5:30, then stroll to your seat. Easiest pre-show plan in the Tri-State.

Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival
FREE
Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival
Sun, Oct 4 · 2–7 PM · Lincolnshire neighborhood · FREE

Twenty-plus porch performances, 10 food trucks, a bar cart, and one of Evansville's prettiest neighborhoods turned into a walkable concert. The 10th annual edition is free and pet-friendly, so bring the dog, wander porch to porch, and pretend you live in a Hallmark movie with a much better soundtrack.

🍕 Bonus Buzz: Pack a camp chair and walk in from a few blocks out. You'll catch two bands before you even pick a porch.

🐝 THE FINAL BUZZ
🎡 Training Camp, Final Week

Consider this weekend your official Fall Fest training camp. Cardio? The Half Marathon has you covered Saturday at 7 AM. Endurance? Newburgh Fall Fest, Boonville Square Flair, two Lions Club festivals, and a corn maze in Princeton. Flexibility? Free salsa lessons at the Pagoda on Sunday. Eating drills? The International Food Festival, Tepe Park Market, and every food truck parked along the Lincolnshire porches.

Then Monday, Franklin Street opens and all that training finally pays off. Champions aren't made at the Fall Festival. They're made the weekend before, one snack rehearsal at a time. Loosen the belt, hydrate like a pro, and we'll see you on the West Side. Stretch. Snack. Send it.
