If you have ever quoted The Sandlot at a cookout, argued about the nWo with a stranger, or done a Pinky voice at work when nobody asked, clear the weekend. Evansville Raptor Con takes over the Old National Events Plaza on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, and year six is the biggest swing yet.

Two WWE Hall of Famers. An Emmy winner. The voice of Yakko Warner. A mini Mighty Ducks reunion. Squints. All of it, twelve minutes off the Lloyd, in a building where you were probably forced to attend a bridal expo once.

Start with Rob Paulsen, who is roughly forty percent of every cartoon you loved. Yakko Warner. Pinky. Raphael in the 1987 Turtles and Donatello in the 2012 reboot. Sitting a few tables down: Colleen O'Shaughnessy, the voice of Tails since 2014 and the reason your kid screams at the Sonic movies.

KEVIN NASH Diesel · nWo

Then the wrestling wing, which is stacked. Kevin Nash, seven feet of WWE Hall of Famer, Diesel, founding member of the nWo. And Amy "Lita" Dumas, also a Hall of Famer, also arguably the most influential woman to ever come out of that era. Both days, both of them.

PAUL WALTER HAUSER Black Bird · Cobra Kai

Paul Walter Hauser is the one that makes this lineup punch above its weight. Emmy and Golden Globe winner for Black Bird, Stingray on Cobra Kai, Embarrassment in Inside Out 2, plus I, Tonya and Richard Jewell. He also wrestles for real, which means he and Nash have more in common than most Emmy winners and most seven-footers.

The nostalgia bench does not quit. A Sandlot reunion with Chauncey Leopardi (Squints) and Marty York (Yeah-Yeah). A Mighty Ducks reunion including Marguerite Moreau. Danny Tamberelli from Pete & Pete and All That. Noel MacNeal, the man inside Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House. And for the people who like their weekends with a little arterial spray, the Terrifier cast: Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam and Leah Voysey.

Every ticket level gets you onto the floor with all of them and into every panel. Autographs, table selfies and pro photo ops are sold separately at the booths. More guests were still being announced, and the con notes lineups can change, so check the official guest page before you go.

Saturday runs 11am to 7pm. Sunday runs 11am to 5pm. Celebrity Row and the vendor floor are open all day both days, and the gaming room stays open the whole weekend for tabletop, board games, RPGs and cards. No signup, just walk in and roll something.

Kids 10 and under get in free with an adult, up to two per adult ticket, with extra kid passes $5 at the door. Buy online with a card or pay cash at the door. Active and retired military, firefighters, EMTs and sworn police officers get in free with valid ID. Heads up: the con has said prices climb as the weekend gets closer, so early is cheaper.

The cosplay contest hits the stage Saturday at 5:45pm with cash and prizes across Overall Best in Show, Pro/Intermediate, Beginner, Store Bought, and Best Kid Cosplay for the 10-and-under crowd. Entry is included with any ticket level, which is a wild deal. The pre-meet check-in beforehand is mandatory, so do not stroll in at 5:44 in full armor and expect grace.

Three panel rooms run all weekend on top of an activities room. The full schedule is a lot: Xennial Pop Jeopardy, a KPOP Demon Hunters singalong, hands-on special effects makeup workshops for kids and adults, Pokemon Master Test, beginner lightsaber combat, a build-your-own Sienna sword session, cosplay makeup with the Ohio Valley Cosplayers, a Moon Buggy engineering challenge, and a video game concert Sunday afternoon.

Buried in the Sunday schedule is the best panel nobody will tell you about. Jane Moore is hosting "All Our Yesterdays," a look back at 50 years of fandom in Southern Indiana, starting with local Star Trek fans quietly gathering at the YMCA and ending up here, in a downtown convention hall, with a Hall of Famer signing photos two rooms over. Bring mementos. Seriously.

That is the thing about Raptor Con. This is not a national tour parachuting in. It is the sixth year of a thing local people built, and the panel list is full of Tri-State names doing Tri-State things.

The plan, then:

Park in the garages around Locust and walk it. Downtown on a con Saturday is a genuinely great look for this city, and you are going to want to see the costumes crossing the street anyway.

Every kid who wore out a rental tape has a shelf in their head, and for one weekend that shelf gets unpacked onto the floor of a convention hall on Locust Street. The Turtles tape. The baseball one. The hockey one. The Saturday morning block you were not supposed to be up for. The wrestling pay-per-view your cousin taped over. They are all here, in person, signing things, and they will be gone by 5pm Sunday.
