🐝Evansville Buzz | Sept 26–28: Funk, Fur & Freddie Mercury’s Ghost

Evansville's wild weekend: Pumpkin 5k, Oktoberfest beer boots, Danae Hays' comedy, and a Freddie Mercury tribute that'll rock Main Street!

🎉 Weekend Vibe Check - Dogs, Dreams & Danae

From the World’s Largest Pet Walk to Danae Hays bringing her wild Southern comedy, this weekend is basically a choose-your-own-adventure novel except the options are: run a 5K dressed like a pumpkin, drink a boot of beer at Oktoberfest, or karaoke yourself into legend at the Paradise After Party. And then Tuesday? Boom. Killer Queen swoops in to turn Main Street into Wembley Stadium.

🐝 Final Buzz

🎶We Will, We Will Rock You (Locally) - Stomp-Stomp-Clap, Evansville
This weekend is basically our own hometown music festival: dogs howling, funk blasting, Danae roasting, Oktoberfest brats sizzling, and Freddie Mercury falsettos echoing down Franklin Street. It’s local chaos with global energy chili-fueled backyard parties colliding with Queen anthems until Tuesday rolls around.

By the time Killer Queen hits the stage, Evansville will be chanting like champions, voices gone, but hearts full. And honestly? That’s the only way to do it. One giant stomp-stomp-clap, forever buzzing.

Photo ops this week:

  1. A dog in sunglasses at WoofFest or Pet Walk (bonus points for tiny costumes).

  2. Your funk-festival snack haul at Haynie’s Corner — make it look like a charcuterie board of chaos.

  3. Your most dramatic “Freddie pose” at Killer Queen (mic stand optional, eyeliner encouraged).

Stay local. Stay weird. Stay buzzin’.
