Geek Con turns ten and fills the Museum with cosplayers, tabletop nerds, and a baby dinosaur meet and greet. Bosse Field goes full galaxy far, far away on Saturday. There are people in actual armor swinging actual rapiers behind a church on Green River Road come Sunday afternoon. And that is before Thomas Rhett packs the Ford Center on Thursday, before ten bands play Henderson for ten bucks, and before three straight nights of Otters baseball with fireworks, Ottoberfest, and pup cups. Somebody is putting on a grass skirt for a $12,000 bingo payout. Pick a character. Commit to the bit. Let's get into it. |

Conner Smith and Emily Ann Roberts open, so you are getting three sets and a very reasonable excuse to be useless on Friday. Downtown turns into a river of boots and denim right around 6:30. 🍕 Bonus Buzz: Park a few blocks out and walk it. You will beat the postgame crawl and skip twenty minutes of circling with your blinker on. |
| | |  | FESTIVAL Evansville Museum Geek Con: 10 Years In Sat, Aug 22 · 11 AM–5 PM · Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science Ten years of Geek Con and this one is loaded: the 501st Star Wars Legion, a Starship Troopers panel, tea dueling with the Steampunk Association, D&D trivia, tabletop games running for hours, and a vendor room full of comics and collectibles. Baby dinosaur meet and greet starts at 10:45. Admission comes with regular Museum admission. 🍕 Bonus Buzz: No glitter inside, and they mean it, plus cosplay weapons get checked and peace-tied. Register for the contest in the Pavilion between 11 and 3 or you are just a very well-dressed spectator. |

Saturday goes to a galaxy far, far away with characters to meet and a specialty jersey auction at the end of the night. Sunday is Family Funday with pregame catch on the field, water stations, and pup cups for the dog. Tickets start at $8. 🍕 Bonus Buzz: Sunday is the sleeper pick. Pregame catch on the actual outfield of the third-oldest ballpark still in use, your dog gets a pup cup, and it costs eight bucks. |

The lineup is stacked ten deep: Tommy Nervous, Nero, Woe Boy, Sideways Lemonade Time, Legally Sheila, Couch Gag, Weak Knees, Spun Out, ASF, and Shoegum hauling up from Lexington. That is a dollar a band. 🍕 Bonus Buzz: Ten bands means you are in that room a while.
